How will Therapy help me?

Therapy is a one-on-one conversation between you and a professional therapist. It can help you:
  • Cope with stress.
  • Gain a new perspective.
  • Make it easier to stick to your treatment plan.
  • Problem-solve.
  • Cope with your illness.
  • Define and reach wellness goals.
  • Understand relationship issues.
  • Manage feelings of depression, sadness or grief
What is Family Therapy?
Much like a body is made up of more than parts, a family also is a system, and what happens with one member reverberates throughout the system. A family therapist watches how families interact with each other and then helps the family communicate more effectively.

A family therapist sees one member, parts of the family, or the whole family, depending upon what is needed.

Family therapy works to strengthen what is working and invites change when the family’s patterns no longer work. A family therapist’s perspective can be helpful both for individuals and for families.
